## October 1st, 2025 I've released [[Headscar Cyclic]] - https://ando.bandcamp.com/album/headscar-cyclic This is over two and a half hours of heavy ambient & drone. It is my final scheduled album for now before I move on to the new Sets system. ## September 24th, 2025 *This post was originally shared as an announcement on Bandcamp* Hi everyone, peace be with you! Next month I will be releasing an ambient drone album. In a similar vein to Ideology Deprogramming Tone from last year, but with a much more dynamic structure. It is the final traditional release I have scheduled for now. Soon I will be transitioning to a new style of music releases called "sets". Instead of produced albums and live material as separate things, I have been working for a while on merging them into one unified thing. Sets will be collections of material which are played & arranged differently every time they are recorded. Each set will have a free "abridged" album version on Bandcamp, which will double as the preview for the full set. Full set recordings will be available to buy off my Gumroad page - a link to each set will go in the description of the abridged albums on Bandcamp. On each set's page, there will be a list of recordings of that set to choose from, which I will be actively updating as I make new recordings. Full set recordings will be around 1 hour long, while the free album version of each set will be about 30 minutes... I think! There will be only one "album" for each set, but many potential full recordings of each set, if that makes sense. I've chosen to go in this direction because putting much work into albums only for them to leave my hands and become "stuck in time" once they are released seems like an unnecessary system. At my small scale, it is more appropriate to have a continual & fluid engagement with music than to be stuck into a rigid, outdated framework of music distribution wasn't even developed for people like us. This is how I've been thinking about it, at least. Hopefully you will like it, and perhaps it will develop more with time, too. Thanks everyone who has supported. ## September 1st, 2025 I've released [[A World Without Restaurants]] - https://ando.bandcamp.com/album/a-world-without-restaurants-3 This album was produced & performed on an MPC 1000 running JJOS 2XL. A set of 223 single-cycle & one-shot waveforms were made with digital synthesis and then loaded on the MPC to be used as the building blocks for sound creation, turning the MPC into its own synthesizer. The waveforms were layered with one another, pitched, filtered & modulated with JJOS' nice sound design & instrument creation features. This material was performed at [[Shows#Past#June 21st, 2025|Illang Beer House]] in Seoul and has now been recorded as an album. The album features two sessions with the material, split into 5 parts each, and followed by an individual coda for each session. Both sessions use the same base material with completely different arrangements. I do not have plans to distribute it on music streaming services, it is exclusive to Bandcamp. ## August 6th, 2025 I've released [[Autumn Winds]] - https://ando.bandcamp.com/album/autumn-winds It will be going up on Spotify & other music streaming platforms on August 19th. I have two more completed albums ready to go, and much more in the works. The plan right now is to return to monthly releases (among other possibilities). ## July 2nd, 2025 I've added [[Untitled (Loop)]] under **🎛️ Unreleased Tracks**. ## June 17th, 2025 *This post was originally shared as an announcement on Bandcamp* Hi everyone, I'd like to extend my gratitude for your support since I started focusing on independent releases. I see & appreciate everyone who buys, promotes, and even just downloads my music, because being able to make something which has personal & emotional value for others is the reason I do it. Today I have two interesting announcements to make! Some of you have noticed that I had a new item appear on my merchandise page called "Private Live Set Recording" (https://ando.bandcamp.com/merch/private-live-set-recording). I am now officially announcing this to everyone. If you are interested, you can order one-off live set recordings from me. I have a variety of different sets, and each one is performed differently each time - no two recordings are the same. Having experimented in the past with subscriptions, streaming & this same service, I think offering these private live sets is the most realistic way for me to produce "extra" content for anyone who wants it in a way that is consistent & realistic for what I do. In the near-future I will also be selling high quality recordings of any actual live shows I do. I've renamed the merchandise page to "Live & Merch". Secondly, I would like to share that I have a new website @ https://andolaj.com! It's been live since December 2024, but it wasn't until now that I felt it was ready to share. Its purpose is simply to have a central place to see & keep track of everything I do & have done. Might be information overload for some, so no need to pay attention to it if it's not your thing - all important stuff will be shared on my Bandcamp & IG still. There are some cool extras on the site though... Finally I want to thank the record shop Underground Solution (https://www.instagram.com/underground.solution) in Edinburgh. I recently popped in there while visiting the city - they were carrying my records, even some old obscure stuff. Very nice staff too! Hope you enjoyed Via World. More music is on the way. Made some other updates to the site as well. I have a new 9-track album that is nearly done. The material was finished & mastered in autumn 2024, and I've been waiting for the right time. Just have to finish the artwork and get it ready for distribution. ## March 31st, 2025 I will be playing a show at Nadi Space in Seoul on Saturday, April 12th.
