Many people buy analogue audio plugins as affordable alternatives to expensive outboard gear, but they forget to emulate the part where their crappy audio interface is sending a signal into the outboard gear. This solves that problem.
The 2000s Audio Interface is a device preset for Bitwig I've built in the Grid. It emulates the build quality & aging imperfections of "vintage" audio interfaces by modelling clock jitter, knob crackle, a limited bandwidth, mains hum, & a higher noise floor. Its effects are subtle & designed for shaping the sonic character of a signal rather than imposing any extreme effect. Think of it as the "budget digital" equivalent to "pro analogue" emulation.
True to the hardware it is based on, the device only has one control, the Output knob, which the user operates from the remotes section of the device.
For a full understanding of operation, please read the included manual.
_Download comes with the Bitwig preset file + PDF manual. This preset was built in Bitwig version 5.3.13._
